Now, I may have lied just a tad last night; when I claimed that it was the last chance for us to have some French Fun. Despite Friday being the departure day, we made sure to include enough fun activities to make sure that the campers remember Sparrow Lake, as well as Camp Tournesol, very well.
After having enough to pack, we had each of the cabins present their piece, whether it was a song or a dance, on which they have been working for the entirety of the week. Everyone put a lot of effort into it, which definitely showed, but the winner, as determined by great SLC directors that have helped us throughout the entire week, Todd and Megan, was Cabin 5!
Nevertheless, the campers were not to be discouraged, as everyone had the chance to insert items that were special to them in their book of souvenirs. At the same time, some were filmed to talk about their experiences, in French of course, to really highlight the moments that stood out to them.
We will now be having lunch, after which we will be getting all of our bags into the buses, as well as ourselves, and then be heading back into normal life. However, I believe that it is fair to say that we have all been touched by this adventure, and that it will stay with us forever.
